The Design Circle

Philosophy

Game design is non-linear. Ideas rarely start at the theme and end at the loop. The Circle is a thinking device that allows you to enter the process anywhere; be it a core loop, a specific rule, or an intended emotion. This way of questioning works both for specific features to large games.

"A game is stable when you can walk the circle in any direction without finding a contradiction."
