Thursday, November 9th.. I had a chance to see some really great places in Delhi.. Even though I am in Delhi, and was here since the last (almost) two years I've had little chance to see these places.. So there I was, with my new batch and the rest of the batches.. we were around seventy people+ in two huge buses..
hmm.. the last time I was here at these places was twelve years ago..
Our first stop was the Bahá'í Temple also known as the Lotus Temple.. To tell you how I felt when I was in the temple would never come close to you actually being there.. The silence, the peace.. it was so overwhelming.. I never thought silence had so much power.. I was wrong.. To know more about the Bahá'í house of worship and more check the wiki page.. Our next stop was the Qutab Minar or you can say the Qutb Complex.. more on the Qutb Complex here.. The next place in line was the Jantar Mantar.. The Jantar Mantar(s) were astronomical observatories built by the Maharajah Jai Singh II of Jaipur in west central India.. the one in Delhi was one of the total five that was constructed.. more on Jantar Mantar here.. We had our lunch and moved on to our next stop which was the Red Fort.. from the Red fort, we went the Raj Ghat and finally back home..
so ok.. that was a real quick round up of the small tour we had.. We didn't have classes on Friday and when I woke up and checked my watch, it was 2:30 in the afternoon!! must've been tired.. :P
