yesteryear's dosas

Finally found some time to type a small story I had written almost two years ago, It was simply called 'Albert's story' and now 'The Dream' you can find it here..

Most people I know, at least the ones back home, had their favourite spots to hang out with their friends, eat, drink tea and talk.. this could be your local tea stall, or 'dhaba', or 'thattukada'.. but there was always some place or the other like it..
sad to say, this only really applied to guys and to a group of guys who were real friends.. 'cos most of these places start almost around nightfall and are open till late at night; a time not many girls go out.. again.. at least not back home..
The cold wind on your hair, drinking a glass of hot tea at after 12 at night and eating really really freakishly hot dosas with watery chutney and red hot chutney made with red chilli and onions!! thats totally an out of the world experience.. couple that with really good friends and there is nothing like it.. of course there is also the 'rasavadas', mutton chops, omelette, bulls-eyes and a comfy bike to sit on and enjoy all these!!

new places.. new people.. new experiences I guess..
I was out, getting some sandwiches, not that I was really hungry, but for the heck of it.. eating hot egg sandwiches to beat the heat.. the cold, the heat and the wind just brought back a lot of memories.. But apart from the heat from the sandwiches, there was nothing warm about it.. the stallwallah got busy with his next customer, the cold wind blew on and I felt it in my bones.. there was no warmth here.. I walked home..

Keep those good memories in your mind and not let them fade out.. for those who had stuff like these anyway..

The days of waking up early are here again.. classes restart tomorrow morning at 9:30.. after a crazy weekend, and with monday and tuesday off, getting back to work midweek feels quite ok..

ps: best of luck for those who are having their exams!!
